Resources and Technology

Science is best when enhanced by appropriately used technology. Videos and simulations can provide students with the opportunities to conceptualize and access materials they would otherwise not be able to in real life.

Examples of appropriate use of technology in the science classroom:
  • An online simulation of a dissection of a virtual frog might provide a student, who otherwise wouldn't be able to see the anatomy of the body to experience the fullness of the experience.
  • Access to large scale data sets on the national and international level, allows students to ask inquiry questions about real life topics.
  • Simulated games can help teach students the principals of foundational theories like natural selection.
  • Access to current event news articles for students.
